I`m very please to announce Kix Trix. My friend Muraccho (soundboarding) and I have been putting together this game/skate contest between some skaters from Osaka, and skaters from Kobe. Welcome to the new Best Friend website. I`ve been really practicing and studying some web design and trying something new. I`m hoping to stick with this web site for a while, because I put a lot of work into it. I`m gonna try to update my blog more often as well...maybe with something new, other skateboarding stuff from Japan, or just some regurgitated shit from the status site. I don`t have a nice camera (yet), so if I actually take a photo it`s gonna be a pretty shitty one from my iPhone. Anyways welcome!

NEW SITE...again...

So I managed to completely fuck up the old site and/or somehow deleted it. So this is the site for now. It`s just a web template, with really nothing special. I hope it doesn`t look too crappy on your computer. I`m now taking web design classes to learn how to make s super cool website for your viewing pleasure. Hopefully a site I don`t delete. I`ll maybe try to add some news and stuff here, but I`ll mostly be working on something new...including a web store (oooohhhhh).

One Mo` again!

Well after a few months of being out of order, the computer is finally back in business...kinda. Unfortunately a bad J-Driver wasn`t paying attention (Or something) and caused an accident that cost a broken collarbone and a broken computer (which was being responsibly carried in my backpack). The good side is, there was no serious death or injury and I healed just fine. But the same can`t be said about the computer. But luckily there are some good people in this world and a GOOD friend of mine is letting me temporarily “use” his brand new MacBook pro...which is really cool for more reasons than one.

So I`m hyped to be working on a new (and hopefully better) site. It`s still in progress, so check back often as I make progress. Thanks!

Fucking Magic!

So I guess since it's a new year, I'll start dedicating some blogging to all the random Japanese stuff. It's pretty crazy being an American foreigner that lives in Japan, and even crazier being an American skateboarder that lives here. I manage to catch some pretty rad/random shit while I'm out with my friends skating...or not skating. From the drunk and passed business men, to the figh(some almost including myself), to the SUPER hot girls, to the homeless guys taking a crap in the middle of the sidewalk, to the...I can put together a pretty big list. So lets just start it off with something from a previous blog I had.



So in Japan smoking weed in HIGHLY illegal, and treated the same as smoking crack, or shooting heroin. But there is a heavy penalty which usually includes jail time. But whether I agree with the law or not (I don't!!!), almost everyday I'll see a person from all walks of life (young, old, men, and women) rockin gear with bud plants on them. Sometimes really big bud plants. Just like our little friend in this photo. So I was skating outside of the Osaka pool (it has buttery black marble ledges and can be seen in the Adidas video), and these two little kids were there. They were super cool, and I had to snap a photo of one of the kids t-shirt. "FUCKIN MAGIC" it stated...and under that in smaller letters it said "You can't be down when you're high". I think he was like maybe 9 years old, it was pretty dope. They were also trying to give me hugs cause I kickfliped over a cone...that wasn't dope.
