Tokyo Day Trip...

tokyo_1
I sometimes forget I live in Japan...until I go to Tokyo.

Took a day trip to Tokyo to skate the Nike Skate park, check out some skate shops, and go to the Agenda trade show. I almost died from heat exhaustion, but besides that it was a good time.

The Nike Skatepark is so good! Lot of stuff to skate to entertain everybody all day. A good training ground for sure! It was pretty easy for me to find, even though I felt lost as fuck wondering around Tokyo at 7:00 in the Am. I hopped on the night bus from Osaka (¥3,400) and arrived in Shinjuku. Here`s how to get there from from Shinjuku:
1. Take the Yamanote line (I think platform #15...maybe) towards Shinagawa and get off at Shibuya. You can get off at Hurjuku, but I think it`s closer to Shibuya.
2. Go out the Hachiko exit and cross the street towards Starbucks. There`s like 2 streets that go past said coffee shop, so it might be confusing. Walk past said coffee shop (the coffee shop should be on your left side and that`s the correct street. Keep going strait down that street and then you`ll see a Zara department store. The park is basically directly behind that store. So just go to the next intersection and turn right. You should then see a stair set that goes up to something.
3. Walk up those stairs and you`re at the park. It`s a pretty big park with a bunch of other stuff (Footsal, rock Climbing, etc), so just walk past all that junk and go into the club house. You have to pay ¥200 before skating and get a little yellow wristband.

The park was fun and the people there were cool. Hopefully I can make it back there sometime soon...Or hopefully Osaka can get a sick skate park built here.
